Linh was the first passenger who claimed to know my future.

She slid into the cab, all bangles and mysterious energy, and the moment I pulled away, she gasped.

“Ohhh,” she said, staring at my hands on the wheel. “You have strong energy.”

I glanced at her in the mirror. “Is that a good thing?”

She tilted her head. “Mmmm. Could go either way.”

“Ma’am, I am operating a vehicle—”

“Hush,” she said, squinting at my palm. “Your fate line is very interesting.”

I sighed. “Shouldn’t we, I don’t know, focus on my driving line?”

She ignored me. “You work hard. Always busy. Always moving.”

“Well, yeah. I drive for a living.”

She gasped again. “You have a very long life line.”

“Good to know.”

“But!” She squinted dramatically. “It’s a little… wobbly.”
